HERD COMPETITION 2025

Hello and Welcome to The Albion Cattle Society!

This site has been created to provide information about this dual purpose rare breed and to allow Albion cattle to be registered.

Albions have recently (October 2018) been officially recognised as a true native breed by being added to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust watch list. They are listed as the most rare 'priority' breed and it is our aim to progress upwards from this category.

There is lots more work to be done to increase the breed population which currently stands at  approximately 290 Albion females, including grading up cattle. (Grassroots: March, 2024)
