ACS Open Weekend 5th/6th October- read here for full report!

Albions at Melton Mowbray Traditional Breed Sale 14th September

Just two lots forward with the smart yearling Speckles Solstice Joanna making £760. It was a difficult market with many cattle forward not making their reserves; the other heifer was a substitute lot who was black with her steer calf making £1500, she should prove a bargain buy if she lasts as long as her great grandam who is still going strong.

Auction of Rare & Minority breeds

17th August, 2024

Scoutbeck herd: 3 cows & calves & 5 yearlings

TB4, BVD accredited, Johnes Risk Level 1

This was a successful sale with many potential buyers attending, creating competitive bidding.

In the end 5 different buyers bought 8 lots, 2 current members & potentially 3 new members. The cows & calves made up to £2000 with the yearling heifers making up to £850 twice.
